Hong Kong Flower Exhibition 2009

I've thot that this is quite worthy to blog, as it is of extreme rareness that this environmental friendly exhibition got to showcase itself in a polluted Hong Kong, which was good nway. In fact, lucky us arrived on the very last day of the exhibition. (& obtained student prices for the tics) =D

For a moment, we thought we had arrived at the Philippines, but it turned out to be globalisation instead.. where you have thousands of Philippinos gathering at some parks in some foreign countries on some free days.

AMAZED was the feeling when we arrived at the exhibition.

Meet 'Dony' and 'Ami', mascots for Hong Kong's upcoming East Asian Games.

Run, Run!

The exhibition was lively packed with tourists, philippinos, photographers and boyfriends accompanying their girlfriends. But it was the least disturbing for us cause we were busily immersing our
sight and smell senses in these overwhelmingly colorful displays.

There were..

red..

orange..

yellow..

drawing uncle with white pants..

purple & white (trying to grab a smell)

Aiya. Just any colour 1 can think of!

As we progressed on, we spotted creativity lurking practically in every corner. Daily life elements were combined with tinges of aesthetic beauties, creating exhibitions which tried to convey business/cultural/political messages of whoever that made them. But more often than not, it feels to me as just a plain love for flowers in these horticulturists that ended up in each of these individualistic displays, hoping to catch even a single attention among the crowds.

flowery house.

green seemed to be an inferior colour in this exhibition.

climbing flower bars-

of course, there were some showcases that were in total absence of beauty to us.

a final pose ended the stroll in the park.

Not giving to our tired legs, we decided to head for the peak, but it was a duper bad timing when we got there....

CAUSE IT WAS ALL SURROUNDED IN FREAKIN MIST!!!!

the clearest view!

but it was nice to have a meal at the peak.. except that my camera had went into slp already..

Who, Me?
A fun-loving person
An occasional sentimentalist;
Simple but haphazard
Trust others easily
so be a good friend for me,
or an adroit liar at the very least
Treat mi with whatever fits ur desire,
And receive the same, u shall without denial
Smile, cause believe it or not
this is't ur typical reality,
this is my obstinate chaos.
Ur Mourns.
